What does a Las Vegas travel advisor cost?
For hotel stays, room blocks, and most group travel, my planning is complimentary: I'm paid a commission by the hotel or supplier at the same rate you would pay booking direct, and you usually get added perks on top. Complex custom itineraries, multi-day corporate programs, and large weddings carry a planning fee that I quote up front after the intake call, so there are never surprise charges.
How far in advance should I start planning a Las Vegas trip?
For a couple traveling on flexible dates, six to eight weeks is comfortable. For a wedding, a corporate retreat, or any group needing ten or more rooms, start six to twelve months out. Room blocks at the better properties get committed early, and citywide conventions can take an entire weekend off the table if you wait.
Which weekends should I avoid in Las Vegas?
Major convention weeks (CES in January, World of Concrete, trade shows in the spring), championship fight weekends, Formula 1 in November, and the weeks around New Year's Eve. Rates on those dates can run two to four times normal, and meeting space disappears first. I check the citywide calendar against your preferred dates before anything gets booked.
Can you help with room blocks for a wedding or a reunion?
Yes. I negotiate the contract, set the cutoff date, keep an eye on the pickup so you're not on the hook for unsold rooms, and give your guests a booking link so every reservation lands in the same block. I also handle welcome dinners, airport transfers, and the day trips your group will want to add.
Do you only book hotels on the Strip?
No. Plenty of trips are better served by Summerlin, Henderson, or a downtown property with character, especially for groups who want space, quieter evenings, or easier access to Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead. I recommend based on what your group is actually doing, not on what pays best.
What perks do I get that I could not book myself?
Through Virtuoso and Fora partnerships, that typically means daily breakfast for two, a resort or food-and-beverage credit, a room upgrade when available, and early check-in or late checkout. The nightly rate matches what you would pay on the hotel's own site.
Do you plan day trips outside the city?
Regularly. The Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and Death Valley all work as day trips with the right timing and the right operator. Group size decides the format: a small party can go by SUV, while forty people need a coach, a permit-savvy guide, and a departure time earlier than most visitors expect.
